Aim of the Sub-project:
- Guarantee a high level of tracking and quality on all transports along the food supply chain
- Establish a RFId infrastructure for individual animal detection on transports
- Development and prototypical realisation of a sensor infrastructure for life cattle transports
Sections of the Sub-project:
SP 2.1.1: Situation today and testing environment
SP 2.1.2: Requirements and conception of integrated transport information systems
SP 2.1.3: Specific prototypical realisation of an integrated, monitoring-based transport information system
Research:
SP 2.1.1: Situation today and testing environment
Target outcome of this step is a model of all transport processes in the food chain including expected data from each step and the creation of an identification infrastructure for life cattle transport, based on RFID.
SP 2.1.2: Requirements and conception of integrated transport information systems
In a first step, all requirements of an integrated transport information system are gathered and written down in a requirement catalogue. Based on the requirements, a software architecture model for the realisation of a mobile, integrated transport information system is developed.
SP 2.1.3: Specific prototypical realisation of an integrated, monitoring based transport information system
Main objective of this task is to build a sensor infrastructure, which will allow the detection of live-cattle during transport. To establish this infrastructure, an enhanced situation-aware component is developed and realised. In a second step this is integrated into the RFId-infrastructure for live-cattle transport. Thereby, the collection of data during cattle transport is secured.
